Job Description / Requirements
Fulfills the needs of the patients, families and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with his/her licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.
- Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.
- Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
- Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patients' needs.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.
- Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.
- Completes admission assessment in timeframe established, according to policy and procedures.
Position Requirements:
- Must live 100+ miles from facility
- Current RN license in the state of SC - Required
- BLS & ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) - Required
- NIHSS - Required
- CPI - Required (must be Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course)
- Cerner EMR experience - Required
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience - Required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program - Required
- BSN - Highly Desired
