Pay Rate: $2,217.60/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at a healthcare facility in Alexandria, LA, for a travel assignment. The RN will provide quality care to patients with cardiac and medical conditions, including monitoring telemetry, responding to changes in cardiac rhythms, and supporting overall patient care within a high-acuity unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients with conditions such as MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and some med-surg overflow.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using evidence-based nursing practice.
  • Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, reporting abnormal findings promptly.
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, care plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately and assist in managing clinical workflow for the assigned shift.


Qualifications
  • Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Louisiana or Compact State eligibility.
  • Certifications:
    • Current BLS certification (AHA required)
    • Current ACLS certification (AHA required)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or related Med-Surg experience preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Must complete facility orientation and competency validation as required.
