Job Summary

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Medical/Surgical Telemetry Nurse is to provide specialized care to patients in medical-surgical units, with a focus on telemetry monitoring. The nurse is responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs and interpreting telemetry data to ensure timely interventions.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring patient's vital signs
- Checking blood pressure
- Administering IVs and other medications
- Using tests to diagnose medical issues
- Continuous monitoring of patients using telemetry equipment, ensuring early detection of any abnormalities
- O2 protocol management
- Non-invasive airway management, Peripheral line care/management
- Isolation precaution/PPE
- Nurse to patient Ratios 1:6-8
Requirements
- Experience: 2-year exp., minimum 1-year recent experience required
- First-time Travelers: Minimum 1-year experience required
- Certifications/License: BLS, ACLS and NIHSS preferred, Valid KY or Compact RN license
- Charting: EPIC
- On-Call:
- Weekend Requirement:
- COVID & FLU: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
- Locals allowed: No, requires that your permanent residence is more than 50 miles from location
- RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission
