Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor and Delivery RN to provide exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience in LDRP and nursery care, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Monitor fetal heart tones, maternal vital signs, and labor progress, responding promptly to any changes.
- Assist physicians and midwives with deliveries and obstetric procedures.
- Support and educate patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
- Float to Med-Surg or Emergency Department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active TX or compact RN license
- 2+ years of LDRP/Nursery experience
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and Intro to Fetal Monitoring certifications required
- Must float to Med-Surg or ED
- Charting: Cerner Millennium
